Plumbing is another area that you have to repair so that leaks cannot ruin the wood which would cost you a lot to replace.
Improvements cannot be complete if the living room has not been altered too, for this part of the house you could repaint the main wall with a bright color and replace all the pictures with new wall art, you could also add new furniture pieces and replace old carpets.
